Imagine Cary

We firmly believe that our commitment to justice is really a commitment to our community. We are proud to be a part of the Cary community and to call it home. The Town of Cary kicked off a two-year planning effort, called Imagine Cary, to create comprehensive policy guide for the future. This effort is an opportunity for people who care about Cary to evaluate the community today and envision and help plan for the future. The community plan will express the values and goals of Cary, and it will include long-range vision for development and growth.

Change is something that we all face. Imagine Cary aims to understand the demographic, economic and market trends impacting Cary. Just like families plan for the future by setting money aside for their children’s college education or retirement, the Town of Cary is planning for its future. As community members, the Law Office of D. Hardison Wood is invested in Cary, and we want to spread the word and support the planning effort.

Citizen involvement is important, and Imagine Cary is designed to be inclusive and representative of Cary’s diverse and multi-generational groups. Imagine Cary’s slogan is “Your voice -> Our Future.” The planning effort not only gives residents an opportunity to voice their opinions, but also builds a stronger image for Cary by establishing a place to raise a family, work and live comfortably. The Town of Cary will sustain quality services like the Law Office of D. Hardison Wood provides by developing an appealing place to invest in both businesses and individuals.

The Imagine Cary process includes 4 phases, in which the first is still being implemented. Phase 1 evaluates Cary’s conditions and has the public generate ideas, leading to engagement in a community plan through values and visions. To participate in Imagine Cary’s goals, anyone can attend one of the four Area Conversations held in various locations around Cary June 4, 5, 11 or 12 from 6 to 8 pm. This provides an opportunity to express likes and dislikes about Cary and exchange opinions. Another way to help is to spread Imagine Cary’s image through word of mouth or twitter (@townofcary #imaginecary). In order to help create a community plan, volunteer and reach out to geographic, civic and demographic networks within Cary.
