WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - A man was seriously injured and several others sent to the hospital following a three-vehicle accident on University Parkway around 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police said a pickup truck collided with a Cadillac making a u-turn and caused the Cadillac to hit a third vehicle.

The driver of the truck, Patrick Chandler, is said to have severe injuries. He was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for treatment.

No other updates were given on the other drivers or passengers.
