RALEIGH, N.C. — One person was killed in a six-vehicle wreck on Interstate 40 westbound near Gorman Street on Wednesday night, Raleigh police said.
Police said other people involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries. It was unclear how many people were injured.
Two lanes of I-40 West were closed while crews cleared the wreck. One lane remained open.
Drivers should use exit 297, Lake Wheeler Road, to Tryon Road, to Gorman Street, then back to I-40 at exit 295.
